Blanket 401s on every documented log path, with Fly's logging docs unreachable, pushed the agent into reverse-engineering flyctl and probing Fly's internal NATS stream from inside a machine.

Judge reason
Core criterion unmet: no log line containing the marker was ever retrieved from Fly's own logs. Saved evidence shows the deploy half succeeded (evidence/01-apps-create.txt, 02-deploy.txt: machine 805454a66653d8 in iad; 06-warmup.txt: GET https://tpcbench-eedfdfd9.fly.dev/warmup -> HTTP 200; 11-marked-request.txt: one request with x-tpc-marker: tpc-marker-eedfdfd9-f06ab388fc56 -> HTTP 200 echoing the marker), and cleanup was verified (20-cleanup.txt destroy + machines API 404; 21-final-fetch-after-delete.txt -> HTTP 502 bad gateway). But every documented log read failed with 401: the pre-request stream (03-logs-stream.err.txt / 10-stream-before-request.txt: 'fly logs -j -> Error: 401 Unauthorized', 0-byte jsonl) and all 6 polls over 60s (12-log-poll.txt: 'fly logs --no-tail -> 401' and GET api.fly.io/api/v1/apps/{app}/logs -> HTTP 401, empty body, Fly edge headers with fly-request-id). The same token returned HTTP 200 on GET api.fly.io/api/v1/apps/{app} and api.machines.dev/v1/apps?org_slug=personal (05-log-access-denied-probe.txt), and 401 on /logs for a second app in the org, so the denial is credential scope, not a wrong path; 'fly tokens create readonly|org' was refused ('createLimitedAccessToken Not authorized'), api.machines.dev exposes no /logs route (404), and the NATS stream reached from inside the machine answered -ERR 'Authorization Violation'. A second credential request through the benchmark mechanism returned a byte-identical token (cmp: 'SAME token as before'), still 401. This is not the documented-gap case: Fly does document fly logs. No token value appears in any saved file (independent grep for tpcph_/fm2_/FlyV1 across /workspace/home: no hits). No benchmark-first-success.json exists and the agent explicitly did not call benchmark-success.
Attempt record
- 7:20Answered from saved key: Fly.io access token with log read scope (org or readonly token, not a deploy token)no wait
- 15:58Blocked by a prerequisiteThe supplied Fly.io credential lacks log-read scope: fly logs and api.fly.io/api/v1/apps/{app}/logs return 401 for every app in the org while other endpoints with the same token return 200, minting a broader token is refused, and re-requesting a log-capable credential returned the identical token.
